I have a customer putting one of these in. Has anyone seen a combo unit draw this little of power? I’ve never heard of a combo unit only pulling 900 watts? This just doesn’t seem right to me only supplying this unit with a 12/3 nm-b.
Am I missing something?

Those could be some of the worst manufacturers instructions I've ever seen. IMO the only way to know what the actual rating is would be to see the nameplate. For that model they list the following:

As Infinity said, the 900W is the power of the microwave. It should no of been included in the electrical requirements.

Definitely a minimum of 30 amp circuit (10/3) for this oven.

Also always go to the manufactures web site to get specs. Don't go to 3rd party, retailers web sites since they usually have limited information and a much better chance of having errors.

I am not sure why the 12 wouldnt be fine, its not continuous.
What are you basing the load on? This double over has multiple elements in addition to the microwave function. We have no idea how many elements could be on simultaneously. Manufacture states 30 amps so that should be the minimum circuit run.

Most double ovens require a 40 or 50 amp circuit.
