When dealing with an electrical system, specifically 35kV, does the 2005 NEC article 300.3(B) apply? I have a system where the service phase conductors are in one conduit from the utility pole to the distribution gear and the Neutral (grounded conductor) is in a different conduit. The phase conductors are okenite MV shielded cable and the grounded conductor is just an insulated 500MCM. Reason for the 2 conduits is a different story. I am trying to find NEC verbiage to determine if this is or is not an acceptable installation. If 300.3(B) applies, then this seems to ne be an acceptable installation. Thanks.

300.3(B) would not apply to systems over 600V.

However, 300.35 (for systems over 600V) would require protection against induction heating in accordance with 300.20.

300.20 requires that the phase conductors and grounded conductor be grouped together, assuming you are using ferrous metal raceways.
