Overcurrent protection for Elevators feeders

Hello,

does anyone know what is the best practice on determine the overcurent protection for elevators with solid state controllers. KONE manufacturer is calculating the MOCP as 1.25XFLA of the motor. I think that this is not correct and calculation is not done by NEC 620 or NEC 430.
Any thoughts on this topic?

if they are the manufacturer, and they are listing the product (with an ahj approved agency), and that is the product data, and their instructions indicate that certain values are to be used for their product ocp etc., then how would the NEC apply ?
