Overcurrent protection

If you have a main distribution panel feeding a 1sub-panel with a 225amps breaker and than there is a next panel feeding from the 1sub-panel which is a sub-panel of 1sub- panel. Do that panel needs a overcurrent protection? If yes where should it be place? If no explain.

or
could you feed the last sub-panel from the logs of the 1sub-panel to the logs of the said sub-panel?

Freddie, you would only need to fuse it one time, and that would be at the main distribution panel, after that any additional panel/s are protected.

If there is a need for a local disconnecting means, we would need to address this in a different light than OCP.

Don't take this as confrontational, but may I ask what type of inspector are you?
