Is there a code that prevents you from running the solar DC wires overhead between buildings? Its not my preferred route but there is blacktop everywhere with concrete sidewalks around the buildings.

Is there a code that prevents you from running the solar DC wires overhead between buildings? Its not my preferred route but there is blacktop everywhere with concrete sidewalks around the buildings.

Neither 225 nor 399 contain "DC" or "direct current".

690 does not contain "overhead".

From that I would conclude that DC is allowed outside and overhead without regard to voltage.
And that DC wiring for solar installations is not prohibited to be run overhead.
