Overhead Feeder Guy Wire

I have done many overhead services for the power companies drop but never have I ran the the overhead conductors. There is a pole building that is about 12 feet away from the service. they want to run an overhead feeder between the two. My question is, does the triplex need to contain a messenger cable/guy wire for this distance? I could not find anything in the NEC that helps out. Sorry for the ignorance. 99.9% of all services are underground in my area.

Looks like you need a minimum of #10 wire for your distance.

But....keep in mind that since you say this is a feeder you will need both a neutral and an EGC. Also a GES at the building you are serving.
