Overhead Service Conductors

Has anyone ever run parallel feeds to an overhead service from the Edison pole? The cost and workability of parallel 3/0 runs instead of one 500 kmil run makes me want to run parallels. Does Edison have a problem with this? Please advise, thanks.

I would call Edison. Also that would be one guy support for overhead.

We're not allowed to touch Edison's pole except on underground. They, Edison, bring the drop from the pole to us and with a lot smaller conductors than we would ever supply.

Must be different there.
