This question is for Penna licensed guys.

I had years ago a Wilkes-Barre Pa masters license which I paid $250.00 to put on in active status when I moved to NJ. Well that was years ago and the city says they dont have any record of my old number. Anyway for the right amount of money they will re issue it. My question is that I heard that if you take the Pro metric electrical contractors exam that all Pa municipalities will accept that and ya just show proof of liability and pay that towns fee. I have an active NJ license and business permit good for all of NJ and some bordering towns in Pa, and a lot of smaller Pa towns dont need or want anything but the permit fee, well I want to be able to have the whole state covered and I heard if I took and passed the Prometric exam its good for Scranton, Harrisbug, Pittsburg, Reading, Wilkes-Barre etc etc. Now I know Pa doesnt have a state license, its regulated on a town by town basis, and I have the Pa electrical code official license for all 3 endorcements, commercial, residential and plans examiner, I also have NJ inspector and sub code official HHS Class 1. I dont wanna just pay wilkes-barre and not be able to cover reading, i would rather just take the pro metric test because I have no problem with that exam at all. So any help here is appreciated. Im not doing large jobs by any means, Im part disabled so its just for small jobs, its more of just having it. I wish Pa would put a board of plumbers and electricians together and regulate it from labor and industry. DLI are the ones who issued my state inspector license, they did it for inspectors now they should do it for electricians. Thanks guys, Jim
