Working on a house that has a large master closet that shows a paddle fan in it. Closet is large enough that clearance issue can be met, pendant fixture is not really defined

A paddle fan in a big closet seems like a good way to move air around in a closet.

if paddle fan has a down rod on it and a light kit that completly encloses the lamps, could this be viewed as a pendant fixture

I believe if you have a light fixture attached, then the rules for lumins in closets will apply.

no tub, but a 18' tall 14/12 ceiling will the fact that this fan has a down rod make it a pendant fixture

With an 18 foot "ceiling in the closet", they should be able to install central air in the closet!
