Hi all , I am looking for your advice for industrial electric motors, my question is there any reference standards for repainting the enclosure (motor frame) of industrial electric motors when needed as part of the PM. we just need to repaint them with the same color. I need to know the guidelines and requirements to repaint them again following international standards. Best Regards, Salah

I don’t know if any standards other than heat resistant paint. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don’t pair or remove the nameplate!

Depending on application you may see different things. Food grade product plant I do work in started to coat them with mineral oil instead of painting them, makes food inspectors happy to not see flaking paint that can possibly getting into product. Same for gear boxes and other components.
