Anyone using these types of fan to ventilate a multiple area bathroom? I have a master bath with a separate toilet room so this would mean that I only need one fan and one roof or wall penetration for the exhaust. Supposedly they're super quite because the unit is mounted remotely in the attic.

They do make high cfm units so they could do more than one area. We do it all the time with Fan Tech and they have a fan that actually comes with a "Y" so you can do 2 bathrooms or 2 areas at the same time

This will be switch controlled so one unit will work for both areas. I could just use two smaller units but then two vents would be needed. How do you like Fantech?

I love the fan tech fans. A bit pricey but I have never had to replace one. A person at the company told me they actually closed the intake on the fan and it ran for a month and never had a problem....

One thing you do need to watch is that if you install the duct to the unit make sure you use the short screws that come with the fan. I have been back many times because the hvac guys install long screws into the impeller. Never damaged the motor though.

Yes i've used in line's , many advatages over regular bath fans , but still a step below whole house recirc's
