Panel Board question

There is no NEC requirement that a panelboard must be limited to 80% of it's capacity.

Branch circuits and feeders must be sized at 125% of the continious load plus 100% of the non-continious loads, this might be what you are thinking.

Take a look at 210.19(A)(1) and 215.2(A)(1).

I have 2 loads. 1 is a press that has a FLA of 108A and a continuous load of 42A. I also have a machine that has a FLA of 200A and a Continuous load of 95A. Could they both be supplied by a 200A panel?

I don't understand? Is the FLA of the press 108A and only 42A of that are considered continuous?

If that is the case then you would use the FLA for your load.

The combine FLA of both machines would well exceed a 200 amp panel.
