is sheetrock (gypsum board)considered to be grounded when bieng used for clearance purposes. thank you...
 
IMO it is not considered a grounded surface. Table 110.26(A)(1), Condition 2 states "concrete, brick or tile walls shall be considered as grounded". In fact, although not code, the NEC Handbook shows a sheetrock wall as effectively insulated in Exhibit 110.9.
