panel cover

What is the code for a panel cover. A cotractor installed a recesed panel on the surface. I think all he has to do is change the cover but i need the code .

There is no code that I am awhere of that would require what your asking and many less expensive panels come with a 'universal' cover that overhangs the sides when used as a surface panel.

I've installed a few like that, I don't really like to, looks hacky to me, but it's up to the customer on how much they want to spend.

That's just how they come now. If it really bothers you, can always build a small box around it? :grin:

Many panels are combination surface and recessed, the most important thing is that the cover is tight on the panel
