can someone please help with the following question, i can't find an answer in the code book. i need to install feeders to a 200a, 277/480v 3 ph panelboard that is 1000' away from the MDP, it is feeding 480v pole lights in a parking lot. is it required to install a neutral conductor, or can i install just the phase conductors and grounding conductor? TIA

A grounded conductor is not required at a feeder panel.
If one is installed it must comply with 215.2

Since you said 277/480 you would need a neutral to get 277 volts but as Augie said it's not required for 480 volt loads.

If you only have 480 V loads you don't need to run the neutral.

However, you may find down the road that you wished you had. I think the neutral can be reduced in size so it may not be real large.
