Panel labels and signs

Which article tells the size of the lettering for Panels and service equipment?
I am having a hard time locating it.

Are you talking about the circuit directory lettering? If so take a look at 408.4

There is nothing in the NEC code that covers the letter size for any required signage. There are ANSI standards that may have what you are looking for, such as the one found in a FPN if it is safety related.

I am talking about the signs for main disconnects, panels, etc...
you know "MDP", "Panel A", etc....

Minimum size Melamine plastic, 0.125? thick x ?? tall x 2? width, with a minium of ?? letter.

Self-tapping stainless steel screws or permanent adhesive.
