When you guys mount surface mounted panelboards on strut how often is the strut run floor to ceiling?
Guess you might want to do that to also support the conduits above the panel? Thanks.

Depends on how heavy the panel is and what the wall is constructed of. For a standard 42 circuit panel on sheetrock we use 2-10' lengths of strut sitting on the floor and toggle bolted to the wall. Does not go floor to ceiling unless required by the spec. The extra length of strut above the panel is used to support the raceways.
