what about a load calculation to ensure that a 100 amp is sufficient. if you are adding any additional loads i would suggest doing a load cal to make sure it is big enough. otherwise just change it out. in our area we are required get the electric company to set the fault current rating for a service. on the single family home they put the arresrer at the transformer, but on multi family and commercial buildings they have to set it.
