I'm not very computer savy and I am looking for a way to manage panel schedules "cheap and easy" . Insert joke here. Can anyone help me out?:-?

You don't really need a computer, you could do the job with a strait edge ruler, a pen , some paper, and a copy machine. Make a bunch of templates. Do some for single phase panels, and some for 3 phase panels.
Run the copies. Then fill in the blanks as needed . Tape the results into the cover of the panel. Remain computer illiterate. Or better yet, read a book or two, learn how to be "computer literate" and do a nicer job of it.

If you have a computer (and obviosly you do :D ) ...break out Excel, Word, even "Notebook".

The schedule does not need to be fancy, but you have the option....and you will use the options when you get comfortable with the program/s.

Here's an example of one of mine using Excel:

One copy I laminate and stick in the panel, 1 copy I hand to the HO/business owner for them. File gets saved into the folder with the scans of permits, plans, reciepts, etc.

You can't see it (because I edited it out), but next to my logo I have my tele number, lic number etc....Under that, the proerty adress and block/lot number. Takes all of about 5 minutes to "create" :)

Square D used to have one on CD. The order #0101EP0301.

I do not know if it is still available.
Found several for SqD online...

Ckts. 1-42, and ckts. 43-84 in left odd, right even numbering format.

There are a few others for different number of ckts. and numbering format. Go to SqD's website and search on the term "panelboard designation" or "directory card". The search result will likely only yield two MS Word docs, but under the second, click the link "More results from..."

You can get a nice dymo label maker for about 40 bucks at BJS wholesale club.. I use it almost every day watch out for jokesters tho you will get blamed when people post jokes with your labeler when you are not watching.Everyone wants to have one but is too cheap to buy one.
