I have a question for you about the location of a panelboard, Does a electric panelboard will be located inside a mechanical or elevator room?

The NEC does not require nor forbid a panel in the elevator equipment room. There is an "elevator code" that may have rules on this subject, but I don't have a copy or that code.

Re: Panelboard inside a mechanical room or elevator room

Jortiz,
I have only wired one elevator room so I'm not the expert. However I can tell you that the elevator code is very strict. We had to move the shunt-trip breaker 100' away because it wasn't absolutely necessary that it be in the elevator control room.
The principle seems to derive from the machinery used with [the steel] cable supported elevators which starts suddenly and may startle anyone not used to this who may be repairing something. So nothing is permitted in an elevator room.
They do grudgingly allow one light and receptacle. Forget the idea of installing a panel in there. Period.
Hope this helps a little bit.
