Is it still true with the 2008NEC that the only explicit prohibition of installing panelboards in bathrooms is in dwelling unit bathrooms. To my knowledge, though not a best practice of course, installing a panelboard in a bathroom IS acceptable per the code.

True?

Thanks,

Mike

Look at 240.24(E). Overcurrent Devices "in dwelling units and guest room or guest suites of hotels and motels...shall not be located in bathrooms."

I believe you can put a panel in non dwelling bathrooms but not the service disconnect.
That is correct. The reason is the amount of ventilation you get in the larger commercial and industrial bathrooms where showers are located.
