I have a closet at work that is nothing but electrical panels. I can't get it through the people who work in the area not to put coats and other such flammables in this closet. I'm wondering, anywhere in the code is there something that relates to this?
 
Put all that crap next to the dumpster next time you need to work in there. Maybe they'll get the message.

No, don't do that. Many electrical closets turn into janitor's closets and office supply storage closets. Beyond an educational effort, there's not really anything you can do. Maybe next time the fire inspector is in for his annual visit, you can volunteer to accompany him and make sure you open up those closets for him.
 
Was on a job onetime and the GC keep letting the painter store his paint in my elec. room I keep raising Hell about it and finaly told them they had 10 mins to clear that stuff out of my way 10 mins past and I took 25 5gal jugs of paint and rollers and all kinds of painting material to the dumpster. About a week later the painter and GC was looking for it. :D

Obviously you are not the person in charge. If this is costing the company money-because you have to spend time moving stuff around-I would let the owner know! Or will the rest of the crew call you are snitch. :cool::grin:

I was in charge of that job. It was costing more money because I couldn't get to my tugger and hydrolic bender. They never put anything else in my Elec. room any more.
