Parabolic vs lensed troffers

Can we have some discussion regarding the advantage & disadvantages of using either one?

I tend to side with lensed for better light distribution. I hear more a lot about direct/indirect for glare solution, but they are more expensive and inefficient (I maybe mistaken) that's why I would like to discuss only between the 2.

What am I told is they look cheap.

My intention is to have better categorization of the type applications for the parabolic and lensed.

Photometrics aside, some people simply prefer the modern appearance of the parabolic reflectors in their offices. The prisimatic refractor panel is quickly becoming one of the icons of every bad 1980's basement remodel. Admittedly, they will be around for a very long time though.
