Paraglider Stuck In Power Lines

A paraglider launches off a hill and within just a couple of seconds finds himself tangled up in some high-powered power lines.

Someone is very lucky!


I thought he got stuck in a ski lift structure...but you can just make out the insulators...looks like 138kv ish? maybe a bit less?

It is a ski lift. Those look like boogie wheels not HV insulators. On power lines the conductor goes below the insulator not on top of the tower.

I am sure it is not a power line, if for no other reason than the absence of an explosion. But I should like to think that nobody is so stupid as to attempt this sport that close to a power line.

Aw shucks, you see birds sitting on those there power lines all of the time. What harm is there in that?
