Parallel Conduit Runs & Wire

So NECA Manual Of Labor Units gives recommended labor unit discounts for parallel conduit runs. They also give the discounts for the wire run in the parallel runs. So there is a savings in pulling wire in parallel runs? Do you agree there is a time saving in the wire pulling as well? This have to do with reel setup? Thanks.

They're likely assuming that there will be a labor savings because the pulls are in the same physical locations on both ends and you won't need to move your equipment very far to go from pull to pull. Other than that you're still pulling the same amount of conductors through the raceways.

Absolutely, Since NECA labor units are only 50% actual installation labor, the other 50% is in material layout, set-up , etc. When you pull in parallel conductors much of the 50% of the lay-out, material procurement and set-up is already completed with the 1st of the parallel runs.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
