Got a question on parallel feeder sets. Say I have a 400A 3-phase 4-wire circuit, so according to Table 250-122 the EGC is #3. But I can run that circuit with a single run of 600kcmil and the #3, or two runs of #3/0 and two EGCs. Can I also downsize the EGC from #3 (52.6kcmil) to half its size, or two #6 (26.3kcmil)?

As Jon stated your parallel runs will each require a full size EGC based T250.122 and on the OCPD ahead of the feeder.

if you run it in a metallic raceway you can skip the wire type EGC altogether.

But, if you chose to run an EGC, it has to be full size.
