Parallel Neutrals?

Tell me if something is wrong with my thought process.

Feeding a 1200A 208Y/120 switchboard, four parallel runs of 4 x 500MCM were used. Now, I'm sure the neutral is grounded out at the existing transformer, and the ground is bonded to a grounding ring. If I bond the neutral and ground busses together at the switchboard, and bond them to the transformer grounding ring with a #4/0 copper cable, have I simply provided a grossly undersized 5th parallel neutral?

Yes.

But why would you bond your buildings GES to the transformers GES?

That would be most unusual in my experience.

Yes, you're right. It has to be either a typo or a mistake. I was expecting it to be bonded to the building grounding ring. Thanks.
