Is there a specific article related to the type of receptacles you shall install in a parking garage? Example: Hospital parking garage wall receptacles shall be? GFCI TR rated. If in Wet space—then TRWR rated.
Ok, I’ll look over 511.3. I’m exploring commercial work now, so I may start asking a ton of questions.Nothing specific in the NEC just depends on the classification of the location. We just install standand receptacles suitable for dry locations.
ok TY Much! Sorry been so busy, now we are off work for two weeks (Rona). They shut our site down just to be cautious.Ask away. Just to clarify in my first response I was referring to an indoor parking garage.
Maybe the word classification wasn't the best choice since I meant we would judge whether or not the parking garage location were dry, damp or wet by Article 100 definition. This wouldn't be a hazardous "classified" location as it relates to NEC Chapter 5.
The specs if any would supersede code, usually being over and beyond. I'd think just for the fact that if the garage is concrete a GFI circuit or outlet would be necessary. Is there a specific article related to the type of receptacles you shall install in a parking garage?
