I am looking for any help or books or thinks to learn to pass my master test in wisconsin. I would like to know what helped you and what kind of to expect.

If i can pass it by the end of the year, I will open my oun company and i have a good shoot at getting 5 commercial buildings that are bout 30,000 in electrical that start next year. If i cant pass it i will be looking to either rent a master or team up with a local comapany to help me do them.

thank you

Wow, happy to hear the opportunity you may have!

Some years ago, I had a ton of help here, and other sites. 100% of my studies where done in my living room. In your case--if you can afford it-- I recommend taking a few classes--focusing your studies on calculations. In conjunction with that, make sure you hit the books at home (self study --utilizing this site for those hard to understand questions). I'm going to stay away from recommending books, because I would be lying if I gave more credit to one over the other. Let me say this. I have a ton of books, but none of them give me everything I need. Yet, many on this site, and others can help you through "any" situation you encounter!!!!

Just my .01!!

Good luck!!!

Are you licensed at all? Here in NC the Limited would allow you to do those projects (subject to voltage also, only Unlimited can do greater than 600v), because each project is under the 40k limitations. I know requirements vary area to area.

I got the Tom Henry Master exam book, (did I just admit that on Mike's site) just the book with the tests in it. I took all of them, looked up all the answers I could not figure out and studied for about an hour a day for a month using this exam prep book. I passed with an 89 the thomson prometric masters test. http://www.code-electrical.com/studyaidbooks.html. Don't spend the money on all that other stuff. Just good hard study work!
