I have a 25kw commercial ballasted system. 14.4kw and 9kw Solar Edge string inverters with rooftop Solar Edge power optimizers/rapid shut down units and Lg 406w modules.
Under the NEC 2017 code, since I will be passing the DC circuits (using #10PV wire and 12amp/circuit max) thru a roof to the transformerless inverters, can i skip any fuses and box or circuit disconnects and just use pass-thru boxes like Cooper CrouseHinds units for wire type changes?
Same question for NEC 2020.

Yes, you can skip stuff that isn't required.

Pretty sure that your DC circuits inside the building still need to be in metal protected wiring methods. (That was definitely true before optimizers.) Otherwise 690 permits any chapter 3 method for PV circuits.
