Yeah, the test was real straight forward, code only. 100 questions and four hours, you can have a calculator that you wont need but take it, a code book that can be tabbed and highlighted just not written in. Mike Holt's code quiz thats ten questions was my main study tool for the test, I would take about seven or eight quizzes in a row a couple times a day for a month or so. When I took it they were using the 2002 code, but I think I remember reading a paper outside the L&I office door that in July they were finally changing to the '05. All you need to do is send in the application with your $50 a week or two later you'll get a letter telling you to call and schedule a test date, the tests are given every Weds., once you take the test you just wait til 4:00 to call and get results and maybe if your lucky you can get your card that day for the $200 license fee.
Or....you could just wait a few more months and reciprocate. I guess it depends on where you want to work this winter, someplace cold or some other place thats cold.
