Thanks for tips & advice, guys. I passed with an 85.
Some interesting stuff:
Test was given by Prometric.
I was suprised buy what WASN'T asked, for a master's exam.
And i can positively say that at least 2 of the multiple choice questions DID NOT provide a correct answer. Interesting......

Congrats.
How many derating and voltage drop calculations?

The test was hard, but probably 80% consisted of finding correct answers in the code book. (open code book)
To put in perspective, i had taped a small cheat sheet to the back of my calculator with formulas for:
voltage drop (all versions)
3 phase transformers (all)
Xc & XL & Z
RMS peak/effective
watts/volts/amps/power factor/efficiency
HP/watts
locked rotor current

At the end of the test I realized i had not used (or looked at) any of them. Interesting, huh?

Washington State has a master electricians certification, its a Journeyman + Administrator. An administrator is the person who signs permits and such. Its much more impressive to say I am a master electrician than administrator.

But in any case, its a worthy achievement, and will open many employment doors for you.

I have the same compliant here in Florida. The ICC certification for building official is CBO - Certified Building Official. However, Florida licenses CBO's as BCA's - Building Code Administrator.

CBO is way cooler than BCA...

Congrats!!!!

how manyof the questions would say were "trick" questions?

by that I mean how many had distractors and how many questions just seemed set up to be asking for an answer that you would know but with a trick part to trow you off

I didn't really notice any purposely trick questions.
However, as i said before, at least 2 of the questions did not provide a correct answer among the choices. (the absolutely correct answers were easily found in the codebook). I assume these are just mistakes from the authors of the test.
