it kicked my butt, be the last test i take, if i move again i'm going to home depot for a job.

for those studying now i hope the following info helps

books i took, and were allowed to take in
ugly's reference
code book 2005
electricians handbook ( never opened it during test)
state statutes- Individual license and certification regulations ( copied off va state site on internet)
do not write in any books you take ( they made one guy white out all the writing in his book before taking it in.
80 questions 240 min. for electrical and code questions ( 3 min per question goes very fast!)
Really work hard at finding code answers ( holt has a 1500 question quiz that you can time and use over and over on the internet for 25.00 which i got, that helped
Calculations- yes they were there, most of us struggle with them in a timed test, i did, I don't mind them sitting at a table at home, cup of coffee and time to think..... take your shot at the ones you feel you know and make a educated guess at the rest.

i answered all the questions, with 15 min to go i went back and guessed at the ones i had left, i competed the test with five min left.

Thank You

Thank You

Thanks to all who posted congratulations. The reason I said last test, I'll be 59 in two months,
studying was harder this time, don't want to do that again.

Have had in the past, California contractors license ( closed book test on electrical and business parts) they didn't have journey or masters testing then. Have current Washington state journeymen.

Two more places I found helpful for study are:
Jade electrical on the internet- you pay but the info is up to date and they have continuing
ed. courses for a lot of states.
And holts free exams are a good choice also.

For those in Virginia I moved here less then a year ago from Washington state to a small farm in Floyd county, SW. Virginia, we really like it here.
