I want to use a wireway to pass through the ceiling. I've seen this done before in a building but I am not even sure if this even allowed.

How come 376.10(4) says you can pass through a wall but doesn't mention anything about ceiling?

Also, there is nothing in 376.12(Uses not permitted) that says you cannot pass through the ceiling... oddly enough 376.10(uses permitted) does not say anything about passing through the ceiling.

That being said, can a wireway pass through the ceiling?

There is nothing that I can think of that would prohibit a wireway from penetrating a ceiling.

Ceiling penetrations usually include floors; any restrictions there?
maybe only firestopping... I was looking into ways I can firestop a wireway floor/ceiling penetration and found this product:

Maybe I can hook up a wireway to it on both sides?
