I am a licensed electrician/electrical contractor in Ohio. Is anyone aware of a path to obtain electrical contractor license in Michigan for already licensed contractors in other states? I am not talking about reciprocity, just a path for an experienced electrician to take, like showing proof of experience and sitting for any exams required.

I don’t know if Michigan is still the same way now, but I had a Michigan journeyman’s license, but certain parts, Flint I believe, or maybe Lansing? That had a separate license, and had to take the test for there too. I don’t remember it being all that hard.
