anyone know off hand the following...

in a patient care area (in this particular case, the treatment floor of a dialysis clinic), is it permissible to install PVC underslab solely for the LV/Data/Communications wiring?

roger,

if i'm reading this right, if the devices are 'nonelectrified' (i.e. plastic) then we can use PVC.

however, if the devices are metal, we need "equivalent insulation and isolation to that required for the EDS...."

in otherwords, a "ground path for fault current by installation in a metal raceway system, or a cable having a metallic armor or sheath assembly."

?

That is my take on it also and I will say, here in NC PVC is allowed for systems wiring in and under slabs.
