Could someone tell me please what those elec. info on the name plate for PC means ; 115V input, 8A,300W. To me the Amperage should be 300/115= 2.6A. What does this 8A means. I'm trying to wire some PC's on one circuit. In the past, I always wire 3 pc's on one circuit. Any comment please?? Thank you

Re: PC name plate elec. info

I think the 8-amps refers to the maximum current the internal wiring of the PC can handle safely and/or the internal fusing. Your PC is supplied with a 300-watt (small) power supply. PC's power supplies are replaceable and up gradable, and the larger capacity wiring is needed for larger power supplies, additonal fans, lights, bells, and whistles.
