Pedestal for large equipment

Does service equipment have to be installed on raised concrete pedestal in nyc ?
Service 2500 Amps.
Perhaps coned requirement or installation manual ?
I think it’s nog a nec requirement.

Not an NEC requirement that I know of. Consult with the Authority Having Jurisdiction

Often called a "housekeeping pad". Might be a requirement of some equipment manufacturers, though.

There is an amendment to 230.64 Service Rooms or Areas (added section to the 2008 NEC) that at least 300 mm (12 in.) from the floor to any energized part of the switchboard, except by special permission, is required.
I've seen that necessitate a pad when the SWBD is not selected with that in mind.

Is a connection of neutral conductor an energized part of the switchgear ?

But that’s for equipment 1000kVA or larger which makes it 2777A or larger .
Mine is 2500A
