On my first test there was a question about who would be accesed a penalty from the AHJ. The answers to choose from was the electrician, the licensee, or both.

Anybody have any thoughts on this? I don't think the code book addresses this.

Thanks,
Ron

What test was this? When I took my test for Washington State Electrical Administrator, this type of question was fair game. It was a three part test. One part was code, another was safety rules, and the third was administrative rules. The answers to this type of question would have been found in the Washington Administrative Codes (WAC).

In most Maryland Jurisdictions the Licensed Master Electrician is responsible for all work done under his license. He/she is the electrician of record on the job. If a helper/journeyman/apprentice working for the Master Electrician messes up, the Master is responsible. So in these jursdicitions the correct answer would be the licensee of the choices that you have given.
