Pendant Lights and Ceiling Fans Mounting Heights

Hi All,
I have an Elementary School renovation project that I specified pendant lights with aircraft cables, which I'm not sure why I specified this.... should have spec stem mount. There are 4 big axx fans type of ceiling fans that will be mounted about the same height as lights. there are about 4'-5' clearance in between fans and lights at each location. Do you think the lights will sway for sure with aircraft cables? Should I ask the Contractor to change it with Rigid Stem mount if manufacturer offers? That will be change order for sure. FYI, these lights are for Cafeteria lights.

Want to hear your thoughts on this.

One way to look at it:
Better to switch to rigid mounting and be wrong than to not switch and be wrong.

Of course, you should start with asking whomever would be paying the difference.

Not a good mix IMO. How far down will the lights hang?

Hi Hal, anywhere between 3' to 8'-6" the ceiling is slope ceiling.
