That may not be true.
If this unit has a listing and has been evaluated by a NRTL, it may be listed as a Relocatable Power Tap.

My take on what I see in the picture provided is this. If the cords shown are provided with attached plugs, then this unit is a relocatable power tap.


The unit would need to be 'hard wired'...JMHO. :wink:

A lot of these kinds of things, both for power or communications or both, are used in desk tops or work surfaces of modular office furniture. The taps would be relocated every time the office is rearranged.
 
Well ,...I tried it and I did not get any results ,...perhaps a simpleton, such as I ,.would benefit from step by step directions.
