Perimeter Bonding of Pools NEC 2017

I am getting back into pools and have a quick question. According to the NEC 2017 I know that I have to run the #8 bonding wire around the perimeter and contour of the pool if it is in ground but do I still need to do this if it is an above ground pool?

Not sure about 2017 but yes on 2014 NEC.

If the pool is 42" or less in depth and not built into the ground then you do not need the equipotential bonding. These pools would be wired based on the storable pools section.
