Today I was at a facility that had one conduit each from a 208/120V and a 480/277V panel running into the same pull-box. I thought of Art. 200.6.D.

There are 10 Panels, 1 Free-standing section, and 1 switchboard. I mentioned this article to the FM. But admittedly since this is the first time I have run into I wasn't sure as to the placement. He said they'd put them where ever I said they needed to be. So, does the posted identification need to be on the pull-box, at each panel, or both places?

The panel should already be identified. So I would only look for it at the pull box. How ever, next time you see your local inspector, ask him what he would say. Some times questions give the inspectors a nice boost that someone is asking them a question. This may also help if you ever over look one, and he points it out on inspection you can then say "Oh yeah, I asked you that a while back, I'll take care of it before I pack up for the day. And if you wanted to wait I could have it fixed before you leave." Not sure how your inspectors are, but we would over look that if you seemed eager to fix it before we left. Just make sure you take care of it, for if he comes back later that day, or the next day, and it's not done, you wont gain any lieu way next time.

As far as I know, such ID is nice, but not required on the pull or junction boxes.

The grounded conductors in common enclosures from different systems are to be identified 200.6(D), and the method is to be posted at each branch-circuit panelboard, similar to the color code for ungrounded conductors from different systems on the same premises- posted on the panelboards per 215.12 and 210.5.
