does south Carolina require a permit for all electrical work whether new or redoing of of work, i assume yes and also a permit for new space , lets say a new building inside a commercial building.
shouldn't you know this already if you are an electrical professional in South Carolina?does south Carolina require a permit for all electrical work whether new or redoing of of work, i assume yes and also a permit for new space , lets say a new building inside a commercial building.
Meant “unless it is DIY”. SorryI am a mechanical EL PQ with the SC LLR and the answer is no. 5,000$ and above require a permit if less it is DIY (owner only) with no changes to load bearing structural members. As far as electrical goes. 4,999 and below, you are good no permit. Otherwise you take a chance on a hefty fine.
im not im asking the question as a non electrical personshouldn't you know this already if you are an electrical professional in South Carolina?
