Permits

All Electrical work in British Columbia now require permits.
when I mention this to many customers on the phone, they seem to not want to go with us or they may be calling other Contractors who may not take out a permit for small jobs.

I would like to better explain this to customers the benefits of Permits.
Have other encountered this at all.

Yes, it's like walking a tight rope.
All jobs require permits, here, too.
We try to comply.
If every body got one for every job. You would need a lot more inspectors.

In British Columbia we can submit a declaration of compliance and these small jobs are usally signed off on that declaration not all work is inspected.
