permitted max. spacing distance for point type Heat Detectors according to NFPA 72

However in NFPA 72, it?s mentioned that in section 5.7.3.2.3.1 ?smoke detectors shall be permitted to be located using 9.1m (30ft) spacing.? , there is no exact definition for the heat detectors? spacing in section 5.6 . Could you please inform me in which section of NFPA 72, I can find the necessary spacing distance for Heat Detectors .
 
You can't find it. 5.6.5.1.1(1) " the distance between detectors shall not exceed their listed spacing". That is about all it says so you need to know the listed spacing for the detector your using.

Typically it is also 30 feet, but you do need to look at the spec sheet
 
I just finished designing a project where the manufacturer had a 50' listed spacing.

However, by the time I had to adjust the spacing for a higher ceiling, horizontal beams, and a sloped roof, I had a closer spacing than smoke detectors.

You really have to read the whole heat detector spacing section.
