Does anyone here have any experience with a new surge protection device that also saves energy know as PowerworxE3. It is designed for residential apllications and also comes in a larger 3 phase version for commercial applications?

IT might be an excellent surge protector but its not going to save you any money on you power bill. Note in the presentation that is says you can reduce the power bill by improving the power factor. That is not true. Residential customers are not billed extra for a low power factor so improving it will not reduce the bill. These things under a different brand have been discussed on this forum before. You might want to do a search.
