I have a client that has purchased a heat press and would need a phase converter to operate in their home basement. The press is for clothing, t-shirts and whatnot. The power specs from the unit plate are (see image below) 220V 3PH 40A 50Hz going to residential 1PH 240V. In researching, I see there's static, rotary and VFD converters. These converters seem to supply conversion for 3PH motors, whereas there's no "motor" in this instance. Can anyone offer any insight on what path I can take for this application? Thanks much.

I would contact the manufacturer to see if it can be rewired for single phase and run on 240v 60Hz. One issue is that in general, phase converters are only useful for rotating machinery, so converting just to run heaters is a waste*. Another is that it's rated for 220 volts, not 240. A third is 50Hz, which could be a problem for any motors it does have.

*and depending on the type of converter, might not work

Thanks zbang for the input. Great points. I have in fact reached out to the manuf, awaiting response. Was checking multiple avenues to see if this was even possible.
