Anyone familiar with Duke Energy specs in central Florida? Specifically Orange County.
I’ve read through the spec book several times and can’t find this.
They refused to energize a service I built there saying the phasing tape must stop at 12” above the conduit entry on the transformer pad. The meter man told the superintendent they “can’t cut through phasing tape”. Currently my phasing tape starts about 6” below the termination and extends 12” down the conductor.
I’ve never in my life heard this, and I’ve worked with Duke energy on several projects.
Another odd thing the inspector required was for me to have an engraved label with the available fault-current riveted to the meter can; he wouldn’t let me mark it at the main disconnect. This job has been a nightmare.
