4awg and over, you can phase tape a black wire white. Correct? Are there any other rules for phase taping a colored wire, a different color? Thank you for your help.

You are looking at it the wrong way. How about this:

Under 4 AWG the grounded or grounding conductors must have insulation that is appropriate color the entire lenght of the conductor. 4 AWG and over could be any color but are allowed to be re-identified at the terminations.

How about this: White/gray, green, high leg orange, are the only colors needed to be ided., use 1,2,3, for phase or no identification.

Are you saying that I can use all white conductors and re-identify them black, red, blue if they're larger than #6?

OK you can do this with any color except white, gray, or green.

Green is not allowed per 250.119.
